So, it's been... a year? Just about. That's unacceptable. I apologize, and will seriously try to at least be an active commenter, if not an active poster.

Um... lets see, what's been going on?

I pledged a co-ed bio fraternity about a week after that last entry, and I absolutely adore the people. I've made some incredible friends, and it definitely made me come out of my shell. Sadly, not the best environment for DA-worthy photos, but we'll see what comes up this semester.

I definitely feel like I've chosen the right school for me. Aside from the lack of a folksy culture (or at least, a prominent one), I fit in perfectly here. I love it. I joined concert choir... most incredible choir director I've ever had. He's fantastic and I love him to death.

I've been working at the humane society near my town, and I love it. We're getting a third kitty tomorrow from there, which is SO exciting. He's on a trial adoption because we have two other older cats and we're not sure how they'll get along. But chances are really good that he'll just stay here. His name is JJ, but we're changing it to Charlie. I can't wait. <3

Okay I'm off to bed but I promise I'll get this thing back into gear.

I keep doing this.

Okay so its been like, 3 months. Holy September, batman.

I moved into college last Friday, and I absolutely LOVE IT HERE. Sometime this week I hope to have some free time to walk around and take pictures, because the campus is absolutely beautiful. There are two lakes on campus, Mirror Lake and Swan Lake in front of the gorgeous new chemistry building (the façade alone is enough to make me want to have class in there haha), plus most of the other buildings are just really cool-looking.

I started my job in the library, which is awesome and really laid-back, and I get paid more than minimum wage. That alone rocks.

I've also made some amazing new friends here... I don't think any of them have dA, but they're incredible people. Some people are still saying "oh you know, I haven't really found that group yet..." but I was lucky enough to have met them all on like, the second night I was here. Plus my roommate is great, and we get along so well.

There is a downside, of course... I'm taking this animal science class, which is essential for my major (I'm pre-vet)... and right now we're just learning about meat processing and stuff. We went to the meat lab today and (GROSS WARNING) he showed us the guts of the animal carcasses we were looking at. Yuck.

But its still lots of fun. And I miss NHS a lot!!

Ok so thats about it. Hopefully some pictures will be up soon?

Endings and beginnings.

It's almost summer.
I guess that's fitting.
Spring is a season of new beginnings, and even though high school is over for me in five days, a whole new chapter is beginning right away.

Things really end in about two weeks, and its scary. I graduate on Sunday. Then a week from today I leave for Connecticut for orientation. So I don't really get a chance to think about high school being over, because after orientation I'll be getting set up to move out in August. I guess that's good, because if I think about it too much I'm going to get sentimental and depressed.

So now that its summer and I have yet to get a job (grrrrrr....), I have, for a couple of weeks, time to relax, read, and draw. Yes, draw. I've been drawing some wildlife pictures and hopefully I'll get them up soon.

Insanity works for me.

So my plan for today was to go to bio, walk downtown to the Dunkin Donuts and grab breakfast... then at 10, when the library opened, I'd walk there and chill until I had to sing with Chambers for the Rotary Club.

Well, when I left school I decided instead to walk the two and a half miles home, grab Dunkin Donuts on the way (because there are like ten of them in my town) and then ride my bike the three miles back to the library.

Now, it really isn't that long a walk, but... well, I've been home for about five minutes and now I need to leave again in order to be at the library on time.

...Whatever, I've had my coffee and its a nice day. :-p

Goodbye high school!

I'm done with high school.
CRAZY.

I am [supposedly] doing an internship at the Metrowest Humane Society, which is AWESOME, so 120 kids of my class (including me, obviously) have been withdrawn from their fourth term classes to do said internship. SWEEEEEEEET.

I have to go back to school for my bio class and rehearsal, but effectively I'm done with school and have LOADS of free time on my hands. Which means I get to READ, and DRAW, and take walks, and sleep lots, and dance more, and AAHHHH ITS SO EXCITING.

Oh, and UConn 2012 is 150% official.
:)
